Mission
The mission of the New York State Center for Engineering Design and Industrial Innovation (NYSCEDII) is to develop next-generation design, manufacturing, product, and process development tools that best exploit new information, visualization,
and simulation technologies for the benefit of the industrial base of New York State and the University at Buffalo (UB) academic community.
The center emphasizes the use of visualization, interactive environments, cyberinfrastructure, and advanced design theory & methodology to address complex analysis and design problems, and promote innovation in product design and manufacturing. These technologies can also be used to solve complex problems in disciplines beyond engineering, like biology
and geology. NYSCEDII is partially funded by the State of New York and is a Center of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) at UB.
